“I started my Thai massage with Alyssa feeling some anxiety. The process was new and exciting, but we always concern ourselves with anything new and foreign to our standard routine. After helping me get conformable, which Alyssa is masterful, I began to relax and let her start working from the bottom of my feet, slowly working her way up. Initially, the process started slow as she worked to loosen any muscles that she thought were tight, as well as worked on areas that I had poined out were cuasing me issues. As she worked her way up my legs with compression from her knees and heels, I relaxed my muscles under her pressure and concentrated on breathing. Stiff calves have been a big problem for me and she whittled away the built up tension until they felt loose. Alyssa stretched my hip, worked my foot arches, twisted my back int a good stretch, extended my shoulders in good rotations and compressed many muscles throughout my body. Though I felt my muscle sinew had been stretched to the limit, I still felt comfortable standing up and walking around with much less tension and pain in my problem areas. The next morning, I woke up refreshed and ready for the day. I would highly recommend the process to anyone who needs a little extra push to get some relief from everyday tension buildup. I really enjoyed this style of massage because it was very interactive which allowed communication between Alyssa and myself on where to target and to what degree of pressure to use various sports.
